Staring through a window of the canteen on the dock,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I saw the Fir tree in the corner;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It was that time of the year again<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And the Christmas decorations looked inviting;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

‘Damn! It’s cold!’ I thought<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

as the fog grew denser by the second.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I joined the crowd inside,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

eyeing the pot of hot coffee on the shelf.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Everybody hushed as they saw me enter…<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Suddenly, for a second or two<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

A moonbeam shone through the fog<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And fell on the concrete floor<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Everybody cheered, and made a path<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

to let me through;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAfter all,\u201d I heard somone say,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

He is Santa Claus, you know.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
