Thrashing, in a moment thrust awake<\/p>\n
A scream pierces the air, the child awakes<\/p>\n
Something is amiss, the screams fail to cease<\/p>\n
You hold, you comfort, you coddle<\/p>\n
But nothing brings them peace<\/p>\n
You start to fear the worst, as they begin to wheeze<\/p>\n
The child starts to panic, stricken looks fill their eyes<\/p>\n
This child is in danger and we must find a cure tonight<\/p>\n
With a sudden burst of speed you rush out the door<\/p>\n
Down the road you fly, just warding off the horror<\/p>\n
The hospital looms before you<\/p>\n
In a panic you screech to a halt<\/p>\n
Child in hand you rush in<\/p>\n
Crying for someone to help<\/p>\n
The nurses fall upon you, looking at the babe<\/p>\n
Soon upon a table your weakened child now lays<\/p>\n
The worst you think is over, surely I’ts OK<\/p>\n
But soon the doctor walks in and you know just by his face<\/p>\n
Your heart tears in two, as you fall upon the floor<\/p>\n
How could this nightmare happen<\/p>\n
