When The Doctor encounters something<\/span><\/p>\n
he has never experienced before,<\/span><\/p>\n
his face lights up with delight<\/span><\/p>\n
and with wonder he exclaims, \u201cThat\u2019s new!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
What has The Doctor learned<\/span><\/p>\n
in his centuries-long life<\/span><\/p>\n
that allows him to greet new threats<\/span><\/p>\n
with the same joy as new treats?<\/span><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
\u201cLife goes on\u201d \u2013 I think that is one<\/span><\/p>\n
and \u201cNothing bad ever lasts\u201d another.<\/span><\/p>\n
But even death is a new experience<\/span><\/p>\n
for one who has lived a dozen lifetimes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Give me the power and the pluck,<\/span><\/p>\n
I petition the ample Universe,<\/span><\/p>\n
to greet my torments and tiny trials<\/span><\/p>\n
