The brick laden road of the 12th Enclave
\nGuides me to the pop-up stall.
\nI haven\u2019t been here in 5 years,
\nYet I know the way
\nLike a conquistador through a jungle<\/p>\n
I turn the corner
\nAnd approach the sitting man.
\nI hand him my sweaty money,
\nAnd in return, I am greeted with
\n4 breads and two pots of rich stew.<\/p>\n
I could close my eyes on the journey back
\nAnd hop over each missing brick and crack
\nWithout troubling my heart.
\nThe dung from the cows is a pungent smell.
\nIt embraces my nose as I head back to my grandma.<\/p>\n
I push open the metal gates to the compound,
\nTake off my shoes at the door,
\nAnd walk towards her with my feet on the cold tile floor.
\nI hand her the warm parcel of breakfast and the change.
