Death is awful, <\/p>\n<p>but I do not want to be<br \/>\na reminder of the inevitable,<br \/>\nthe unknown, the void <\/p>\n<p>that calls from busy<br \/>\nintersections, high places.<br \/>\nImagine me as an angel <\/p>\n<p>in whatever religion brings<br \/>\nyou the most joy.  Believe<br \/>\nthat I watch over you, <\/p>\n<p>that I am the reason for<br \/>\nyour last-minute parking spot<br \/>\non the day you\u2019re running late,<\/p>\n<p>the butterfly that lands<br \/>\non your shoulder.  See me<br \/>\nwherever you need<\/p>\n<p>&amp; think of me only<br \/>\nas much as brings you<br \/>\ncomfort.  Let memory <\/p>\n<p>press me into whatever<br \/>\nshape you need me to occupy<br \/>\nin your mind, because you <\/p>\n<p>are the one who has to<br \/>\nkeep living.  Whatever you wish<br \/>\nyou could have said, I already<\/p>\n<p>heard it. Know that you<br \/>\nwere right.
