Starting Over<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It could happen <\/span><\/p>\n

that one day<\/span><\/p>\n

you will be sitting <\/span><\/p>\n

in the same place you\u2019ve<\/span><\/p>\n

sat for years<\/span><\/p>\n

and realize <\/span><\/p>\n

that the cushion on the chair <\/span><\/p>\n

is misshapen<\/span><\/p>\n

that you have buried yourself<\/span><\/p>\n

in papers and prioritizing<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

You\u2019ve grown so accustomed<\/span><\/p>\n

to the tiny acts <\/span><\/p>\n

of spontaneous combustion<\/span><\/p>\n

and skittering roaches<\/span><\/p>\n

that dance in front of you<\/span><\/p>\n

that you snuff them out<\/span><\/p>\n

with your bare hand<\/span><\/p>\n

carrying on<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Your dreams speak to you<\/span><\/p>\n

only of deadlines<\/span><\/p>\n

catastrophes and detailed correspondence<\/span><\/p>\n

even this you may survive<\/span><\/p>\n

ritually washing them away with<\/span><\/p>\n

a deluge of coffee<\/span><\/p>\n

first thing<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Then it may come to pass<\/span><\/p>\n

that you look into the harried face<\/span><\/p>\n

of someone you love<\/span><\/p>\n

and dropping your bucket<\/span><\/p>\n

down deep within your heart<\/span><\/p>\n

come up with dirt and dry shoots<\/span><\/p>\n

and see that you<\/span><\/p>\n

have become a drought<\/span><\/p>\n
