Indeed, I read the poetry<\/p>\n
The lengthy carcass of sprawling words<\/p>\n
My eyes adjust to only reread the same lines over and again.<\/p>\n
This assignment, this wayward task<\/p>\n
Has me running in circles<\/p>\n
searching for a short glass<\/p>\n
on the rocks, these eyes already read<\/p>\n
end the drama, end the scene<\/p>\n
For Mr. Eliot I cannot<\/p>\n
fathom your scheme<\/p>\n
Your lines cross my eyes<\/p>\n
and all I can gather<\/p>\n
is time<\/p>\n
is left<\/p>\n
on window pane<\/p>\n
in an empty bottle.<\/p>\n
