An old cowboy stood alone in the muddy street<\/p>\n
Gun at his hip and boots on his feet<\/p>\n
And he called out loud so that all could hear<\/p>\n
“I may be old but I don’t have any fear.”<\/p>\n
“Send out the best and fastest gun around.”<\/p>\n
“I’ll beat him on the draw and drop him to the ground”<\/p>\n
The people in the town could hear his shout<\/p>\n
But no man that heard bothered to step out<\/p>\n
So the old cowboy walked to the saloon<\/p>\n
And with the toe of his boot he kicked a spitoon<\/p>\n
“I’ll fight any man in this place.”<\/p>\n
Came the words from his grizzled face.<\/p>\n
But the room full of men paid him no mind<\/p>\n
There was no fistfight for the old timer to find<\/p>\n
So the old cowboy just ambled on home<\/p>\n
And when his old wife asked where he did roam<\/p>\n
He just shook his head and smiled<\/p>\n
