The city roars far below with a savage metal rhythm,<\/p>\n
And on the sidewalk it’s casual cannibalism<\/p>\n
As men devour and bury each other to survive.<\/p>\n
But here, home, vines twine in cages and pots<\/p>\n
And dream maybe, in a vegetable way,<\/p>\n
Of places beyond my metal cage home,<\/p>\n
To where the fog isn’t smog,<\/p>\n
And the animal cruelty and claws<\/p>\n
Are without the human bite.<\/p>\n
