1 \u00a0 My childhood, like a fairy tale,<\/p>\n
Was perfect in its making.<\/p>\n
A mother, father, children<\/p>\n
All in a house of baking.<\/p>\n
2 \u00a0 Daddy went to work each day,<\/p>\n
Making money for the bills;<\/p>\n
Mother cooked and tended kids,<\/p>\n
Taking care of many ills.<\/p>\n
3 \u00a0 Dinner on the table<\/p>\n
Each day at five-o’clock;<\/p>\n
Both kids into scouting:<\/p>\n
Eagle Scout, my brother got.<\/p>\n
4 \u00a0 Mom was homeroom mother<\/p>\n
Baking cookies, fixing food<\/p>\n
For all the classroom children<\/p>\n
Whether kind-hearted, or rude.<\/p>\n
5\u00a0 If there were any problems,<\/p>\n
None were talked about;<\/p>\n
Such silence in those rooms–<\/p>\n
But if walls could talk, look out!<\/p>\n
