How does one begin to talk about the past?<\/span><\/p>\n

Come in and take off your shoes<\/span><\/p>\n

Don\u2019t step on anything delicate<\/span><\/p>\n

There\u2019s lots of that round here<\/span><\/p>\n

II<\/span><\/p>\n

My mouth is broken<\/span><\/p>\n

It has been for quite some time<\/span><\/p>\n

Sometime I was<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Trespassed <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Transgressed<\/span><\/p>\n

And you can\u2019t put back together<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 A trashed China doll<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 A broken crystal glass<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 A shattered snow globe<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 To the way it was before<\/span><\/p>\n

Restore it<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0It cannot be returned<\/span><\/p>\n

Instead it becomes a new object<\/span><\/p>\n

Jagged edges and fangs<\/span><\/p>\n

For cutting<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 On accident, on purpose<\/span><\/p>\n

III<\/span><\/p>\n

It was not pleasant.<\/span><\/p>\n

That\u2019s okay<\/span><\/p>\n

It hurt too much.<\/span><\/p>\n

That\u2019s okay<\/span><\/p>\n

Dandelion girls, it\u2019s okay now.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pavement kicker<\/span><\/p>\n

Dirt digger<\/span><\/p>\n

Boy kisser<\/span><\/p>\n

Come on home<\/span><\/p>\n

What a mess it was.<\/span><\/p>\n

That\u2019s okay<\/span><\/p>\n

We made mistakes.<\/span><\/p>\n

That\u2019s okay, too<\/span><\/p>\n
