It\u2019s been one hell of an interesting night<\/p>\n
sleepless night<\/p>\n
laughed filled night<\/p>\n
watching the stars fill the sky<\/p>\n
the moon rising high, weaving between the clouds<\/p>\n
The night turned into dawn<\/p>\n
You know, it\u2019s true, what they say,<\/p>\n
its darkest before dawn<\/p>\n
but only those who have stayed awake<\/p>\n
and watched day turn into night<\/p>\n
could attest these truths<\/p>\n
Only the mad, Poets, artists and drunks<\/p>\n
stay awake this long for their art<\/p>\n
what I mess I\u2019ll say<\/p>\n
after I read through the disasters ive written<\/p>\n
words tosses, strewn about<\/p>\n
haphazardly thrown on to the page<\/p>\n
what a mess I\u2019ll think<\/p>\n
but for now, I\u2019ll write this last poem<\/p>\n
and smile<\/p>\n
thinking of the past 24 hours<\/p>\n
