Father I am not proud<\/p>\n

Nor did I want to come here<\/p>\n
and be confronted by you<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
For what can I say Father<\/p>\n
What can I do and<\/p>\n
what can I offer<\/p>\n
to plead my case before you<\/p>\n
that I would say that I has just cause<\/p>\n
to do what I did<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
But I am here now Father<\/p>\n
and I am weak and I am afraid<\/p>\n
Let me rest in your arms<\/p>\n
for just a little while as you<\/p>\n
comfort me, hold me<\/p>\n
Let me speak to you Father<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I am not worthy Father<\/p>\n
to rest in your embrace<\/p>\n
for I have insulted your Kingdom<\/p>\n
with my thoughts<\/p>\n
my words<\/p>\n
my actions<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
What I feared most of all<\/p>\n
has come once again knocking<\/p>\n
knocking at my door<\/p>\n
I have no more peace because of it<\/p>\n
I feel endless turmoil<\/p>\n

Everytime I come to you Father<\/p>\n
my own mouth by virtue of what<\/p>\n
I say condemns me and<\/p>\n
it announces my guilt<\/p>\n
everyday<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Father I am troubled tonight<\/p>\n
I am fearful of the quickly<\/p>\n
approaching date that means<\/p>\n
so much to me and my state<\/p>\n
of mind<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Why would I put myself<\/p>\n
in jeopardy so often<\/p>\n
and want to take my life<\/p>\n
into my own hands<\/p>\n
It is not my decision<\/p>\n
when my life ends<\/p>\n
but yours<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I am thankful Father<\/p>\n
for the last four years<\/p>\n
that you were gracious<\/p>\n
enough to give to me<\/p>\n
when so many times<\/p>\n
you could have taken<\/p>\n
my life<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I pray Father that day would<\/p>\n
no longer trouble me<\/p>\n
that it would not be remembered<\/p>\n
with pride or happiness<\/p>\n
but with thankfulness and humility<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
You brought me<\/p>\n
out of the depths<\/p>\n
of the pain I was in<\/p>\n
back from despair<\/p>\n
from shame from guilt<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Every year may I throw<\/p>\n
myself on my hands and knees<\/p>\n
my face turned towards<\/p>\n
and focused on you<\/p>\n
and do nothing that day<\/p>\n
but praise you<\/p>\n
only praise you<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
One day Father may I<\/p>\n
no longer feel the shame<\/p>\n
that I feel everytime<\/p>\n
I think about it<\/p>\n
May I instead stand<\/p>\n
firm and fearless<\/p>\n
and remember the sins<\/p>\n
of long ago<\/p>\n
as only water rushing by<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
You question me Father<\/p>\n
I must answer you<\/p>\n
but I do not know<\/p>\n
what I can say<\/p>\n
in my defense<\/p>\n
that you would accept<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Father you love me<\/p>\n
unconditionally<\/p>\n
there is nothing<\/p>\n
that I can do<\/p>\n
that will make you<\/p>\n
stop loving me<\/p>\n
I did not get to<\/p>\n
this point alone<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
It was you Father<\/p>\n
and only you<\/p>\n
you gave me<\/p>\n
Grace and Mercy<\/p>\n
and there is nothing<\/p>\n
I can ever do to repay you<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Thunder booms and lightening<\/p>\n
flashes similar to a storm<\/p>\n
I fall back to my knees<\/p>\n
as I feel your overwhelming<\/p>\n
presence change<\/p>\n
I tremble at your power<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I AM THE ALMIGHTY<\/p>\n
EVERYTHING BELONGS<\/p>\n
TO ME THEREFORE<\/p>\n
I WILL QUESTION YOU<\/p>\n
AND YOU WILL ANSWER ME<\/p>\n

Who has claims against me<\/p>\n
that I must pay them<\/p>\n
I gave you a body<\/p>\n
flesh<\/p>\n
breath I gave you LIFE<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I did not shorten your life<\/p>\n
when you forsook me<\/p>\n
when you cursed me<\/p>\n
I did not end your life<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Your body is an extension<\/p>\n
of my temple<\/p>\n
My spirit lived in you<\/p>\n
even now as you crawl<\/p>\n
back to me<\/p>\n
Contrite<\/p>\n
It still lives<\/p>\n
in you<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
You do not have peace<\/p>\n
from this matter<\/p>\n
because you have not asked<\/p>\n
me to take it away from you<\/p>\n

You have asked in the past<\/p>\n
but with the wrong motive<\/p>\n
that I would merely take it<\/p>\n
away and you could still<\/p>\n
indulge in your earthly pleasures<\/p>\n

You cannot always have<\/p>\n
what you want<\/p>\n
I am you Father<\/p>\n
I know what is best for you<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Do not fear me my child<\/p>\n
because fear has to do<\/p>\n
with being punished<\/p>\n
My love is perfect<\/p>\n
and it drives out the fear<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
So come to me<\/p>\n
with your pain<\/p>\n
your worries<\/p>\n
your burdens<\/p>\n
your cares<\/p>\n
your anxieties<\/p>\n
and rest in my embrace<\/p>\n
