This is my first attempt at anything resembling a poem this evening before bed. I&#8217;m looking forward to June  27.<\/p>\n<p>We couldn&#8217;t remember his name<br \/>\nat first.<br \/>\nThat one actor always plays<br \/>\nthe same madman.<br \/>\nNo wonder this film was so hard to find.<br \/>\nEvery one, the cops<br \/>\nare all evil.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s another thing<br \/>\nthat has to change,<br \/>\nwe agreed.<\/p>\n<p>I smell nicotine,<br \/>\nthough neither<br \/>\nof us smokes<br \/>\nin the apartment.<br \/>\nWe open the front door<br \/>\nand the warm night air<br \/>\nwelcomes us<br \/>\nmore than<br \/>\nwe&#8217;re safe to venture.<\/p>\n<p>Nothing like<br \/>\ngoing to the movies<br \/>\nin your bedroom<br \/>\nto remind you<br \/>\nwhy you&#8217;re hiding<br \/>\nin your bedroom.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I wrote some quarantine poems in April, and baked and hunkered down in May.
