{"id":60224,"date":"2020-06-22T14:11:18","date_gmt":"2020-06-22T18:11:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=60224"},"modified":"2020-06-27T12:02:21","modified_gmt":"2020-06-27T16:02:21","slug":"first-timer-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2020\/06\/first-timer-2\/","title":{"rendered":"First Timer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Greetings:<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve signed up for the half marathon because I know I could never make it for the 24-hour marathon.\u00a0 This is my first time and hope it&#8217;ll be the first of many!<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been writing poetry for years in a snail mail critique group for more than twenty years. Last year I also joined up with other poets to write a poem a day and post to a private Facebook group. I&#8217;ve missed a few days and am scrambling to get caught up and am almost there.\u00a0 i live in Aurora, Colorado. Grandchildren are in Denver only three blocks away.<\/p>\n<p>I will have some other things to juggle at the beginning of the marathon but plan to manage them so I can keep within the parameters.\u00a0 Then it will total devotion the rest of the day!<\/p>\n<p>This is also my first experience with WordPress.
