\nKissing at the feet of my naked guru
\nGiving me a purity of thought beyond my concepts
\nintegrating the parts of me
\nAsking me what I need
\nGiving me what I ask
\nCaring about her footprints
\nHumbling me
\nOpening up my child
\nMaking it feel ok
\nI don\u2019t have to hide
\nShe lets me be vulnerable
\nThere is no shame in being broken
\nSix degrees later and only now I feel like I am learning
\nHow can I preserve such a treasure
\nShe is given to the world
\nShe is my seminar
\nI don\u2019t learn any anecdotes
\nShe reaches in and shows me myself
\nPatience beyond any mother
\nCompassion utterly beyond my own
\nHow can I be worthy of such love
\nHow can I become like that
\nAll my pretensions fail
\nI flounder in having anything to offer
\nAnother poet she made in her school
\nHer devotees are endless
\nHow arrogant am I to seek to be chief Chela
\nI don\u2019t know how to be – then I never knew how to be
\nBut only with her do I see it
\nAn unmoved limb pathetically flaps in me
\nHelpless
\nStruggling
\nMakes me desperate for her gaze
\nAs I know she can see me
\nI don\u2019t get seen – I hide with security so complex
\nHow can I live now
\nThe scales fall from my eyes
\nI am so transformed and yet still me
\nMaybe this is what calmness feels like
\nI know there are others – yet she makes me feel the one
\nWhat a terrible demanding child I am
\nI just forgot I never got this
\nI forgot that behind it all
\nThe way to calm the constant whirl
\nWhich is so constant I thought it normal
\nIs just to be accepted
