Today I will celebrate a woman who is certainly like no other.<\/p>\n
A public-school teacher, business community college instructor,<\/p>\n
Blue Bird leader, quintessential 1950\u2019s mom\u2014my late mother.<\/p>\n
Although since I would not want to ever wish to equivocate\u2014<\/p>\n
About all else, obsessively-compulsively-she was never late!<\/p>\n
Ever a lady in the truest sense of a rather old-fashioned word,<\/p>\n
She was the perfect partner for my dad with her style and verve.<\/p>\n
Also, trained as a classical pianist, she was sure to entertain us,<\/p>\n
but insincerity was certainly not in this small-town girl\u2019s nature.<\/p>\n
Thus, if I ever tried, I could never measure up to her example,<\/p>\n
For above all else, her love and care remained ever ample.<\/p>\n
