and try out that new bath tub.<\/p>\n
Brass ceramic handles,<\/p>\n
black etched cold and hot<\/p>\n
watch the steam lift from<\/p>\n
tub to handles<\/p>\n
sniff the gentle air,<\/p>\n
and I’ll be thinking of you<\/p>\n
my dear<\/p>\n
my darling husband<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
And remember how I took<\/p>\n
every last bottle,<\/p>\n
with dust and grime on neck and<\/p>\n
bottle stem,<\/p>\n
took those bottles and smashed<\/p>\n
each, against the limestone,<\/p>\n
tinkling glass, whack and thump<\/p>\n
of thick glass<\/p>\n
with the last dregs bleeding out from<\/p>\n
every curvature of the bottles<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Do you think you’ll miss the 80 Proof,<\/p>\n
or 100, or even the poiteen?<\/p>\n
instead I’ll be laying soaking up the bubbles,<\/p>\n
my toes above the bubble line,<\/p>\n
enjoying my herbal tea, my drink of choice.<\/p>\n
