How do you know when<\/i><\/p>\n
Rock bottom is where you are?<\/i><\/p>\n
How can you see<\/i><\/p>\n
When you’re near or far?<\/i><\/p>\n
With everyone it’s different.<\/i><\/p>\n
Is your bottom based on age?<\/i><\/p>\n
If it’s not, then how<\/i><\/p>\n
Is your bottom gauged?<\/i><\/p>\n
The rocks you see at twenty<\/i><\/p>\n
Aren’t even close to the rock down the line.<\/i><\/p>\n
When you are pushing forty<\/i><\/p>\n
The rocks are much more defined.<\/i><\/p>\n
Does that mean that when you’re young<\/i><\/p>\n
Rock bottom’s not what you hit?<\/i><\/p>\n
Even if it feels like you’ve been bled dry<\/i><\/p>\n
Are you still at the top of the pit?<\/i><\/p>\n
When I look around me know,<\/i><\/p>\n
And see all the pain and tears,<\/i><\/p>\n
It makes me wonder what’s to come<\/i><\/p>\n
In the next twenty to forty years.<\/i><\/p>\n
I feel like I’m at the bottom,<\/i><\/p>\n
Looking at better days up high,<\/i><\/p>\n
But if I look down, will I see<\/i><\/p>\n
More rocks to be wounded by?<\/i><\/p>\n
I guess I’ll never know<\/i><\/p>\n
Until I get to a time<\/i><\/p>\n
When rock bottom is the place<\/i><\/p>\n
