He isn’t a little\u00a0 boy anymore.<\/p>\n

He articulates, “I am ready for some freedoms from you, and I think they should be…”<\/p>\n

He is making his way into independence, feeling his way into young adulthood.<\/p>\n

I observe, hold back, give space.<\/p>\n

It is a tricky tightrope<\/p>\n

tough to balance.<\/p>\n

I fail, a lot.<\/p>\n

He is untying the proverbial apron strings, as it should be.<\/p>\n

He vacillates, “Gramma, will you sing to me and rub my hands?”<\/p>\n
