There she feasts<br \/>\nOn putrid meats and grapes,<br \/>\nElusive tigress, waiting, biding.<br \/>\nWe hunt each other, stalking, hiding.<\/p>\n<p>Did Lao Tzu ever imagine such a thing?<br \/>\nDid Martin Luther dream this dream?<\/p>\n<p>Who remembers how the first questions<br \/>\nWere conceived; remembers the farmer<br \/>\nRecalls the mental massing of<br \/>\nInnocent villagers,<br \/>\nStuffing of spears and grammar,<br \/>\nBody counting as one by one they fell<br \/>\nUntil we two only remain<br \/>\nThe striped query and I?<\/p>\n<p>Did Lao Tzu ever imagine such a thing?<br \/>\nDid Martin Luther dream this dream?<\/p>\n<p>My head is a jungle, fears and cries<br \/>\nAnd mutinies. There<br \/>\nShe hunts, never sleeps or flies<br \/>\nAway. My uncut hair<br \/>\nIs going silver.
