If I could tell you about my night,<\/p>\n
I’d start by saying I was so tired<\/p>\n
and I went to bed early. The door was cracked<\/p>\n
from one of the cats pushing it open.<\/p>\n
And I thought I was awake,<\/p>\n
staring at the piece of hallway wall that is exposed.<\/p>\n
I was frozen, scared, I could hear people talking.<\/p>\n
I can’t remember what they were saying.<\/p>\n
Then an invisible body ran at me,<\/p>\n
I jolted and couldn’t scream.<\/p>\n
Then I was awake,<\/p>\n
thinking about you;<\/p>\n
and how I would stay over at your place.<\/p>\n
We would lay in bed together.<\/p>\n
I felt so safe.<\/p>\n
You were my best friend.<\/p>\n
You had a lot of best friends. I don’t know if you knew.<\/p>\n
Maybe you have read all my letters. If so, you already know.<\/p>\n
I don’t know what number this one is. I lost count.<\/p>\n
I miss showing each other our poems.<\/p>\n
I was your muse and you were my music man.<\/p>\n
I am scared to sleep.<\/p>\n
Nobody can replace you.<\/p>\n
