Three Days Before<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Prunes already in Vodkoi ‘soup’<\/p>\n
and the beef is also soaking<\/p>\n
in a syrupy collage of ginger and spice<\/p>\n
before my feet need soaking<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
So, I will make the pie<\/p>\n
it will keep well when wrapped<\/p>\n
mixing the heavy cream and sugar<\/p>\n
as I bake my shortcuts, it’s a wrap!<\/p>\n

I always do soups first<\/p>\n
they get better by the day<\/p>\n
chopping broccoli, parsnips, and potatoes<\/p>\n
celery carrots and leeks all-day<\/p>\n

for salads I make the dressing<\/p>\n
so they can gently mellow<\/p>\n
while doing that I sip on some Orvieto<\/p>\n
to make myself perfectly mellow<\/p>\n

Sherry vinegar and brown sugar<\/p>\n
take me for a ride<\/p>\n
as I shake the bottle so corked<\/p>\n
awaiting that aromatic ride<\/p>\n
