Dear Granmom,<\/p>\n
You had seven children, my mom was the last<\/p>\n
And many foster children came through.<\/p>\n
You were of hardy German stock, the clans rock<\/p>\n
Without you, what would they do?<\/p>\n
When I was born we lived with you<\/p>\n
My mother and my own little self<\/p>\n
You gave me love and soft cuddles<\/p>\n
Never putting that love on a shelf.<\/p>\n
When I was three, we moved from thee<\/p>\n
Way down south in Alabama<\/p>\n
My mother, father, sister and I<\/p>\n
Had to leave behind my much loved gramma.<\/p>\n
The years they passed and the time finally came<\/p>\n
On the day that I turned seven.<\/p>\n
We had to lay you to rest, broken hearted,<\/p>\n
You gained your wings and went to Heaven.<\/p>\n
Time has flown and I never forgot<\/p>\n
How you visited me after you were gone.<\/p>\n
Moving the Bible you gave me,<\/p>\n
In which you signed to \u201cMy little one.\u201d<\/p>\n
