\u00a0The difficulty I see is a world hardened and deaf<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0to our brother’s cries, oblivious to our neighbor\u2019s suffering\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0when we hurl insults and caterwaul,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0there is only noise\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0behind a platform we hide and<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0hurt one another<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We can be better<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The difficulty I see is effusive hatred spilling<\/span><\/p>\n

from our souls, a polluted river coursing through our<\/span><\/p>\n

cities, man mired in ignorance and denial, beating down their brothers<\/span><\/p>\n

oppression is not vanquished but is reality for those<\/span><\/p>\n

the world sees as \u201cother\u201d. The dominant unbelievers of our<\/span><\/p>\n

commonalities and connections. Those that feed on rampant \u201cisms\u201d prevail.<\/span><\/p>\n

But we are the same. We are the same.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Blood bleeds carmine in us all.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We can be better<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In the world of tomorrow,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cisms\u201d must die, the white boy with the confederate flag must look\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

the black boy in the eye and see his brother\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The minister in the pulpit must recognize his love for his wife is no purer<\/span><\/p>\n

than the love between those two women holding hands on the street<\/span><\/p>\n

We owe it to the world to listen, to be better<\/span><\/p>\n
