There’s only one true path.<\/p>\n

Merely peer through the tree tops to find it,<\/p>\n

encircled in the highest branches,<\/p>\n

not the rain forest’s emergent stems and leaves, a promise<\/p>\n

of fresh air, nourishing humanity’s lungful laments,<\/p>\n

but the sun-baked, burnt autumn decay<\/p>\n

of political scrum,<\/p>\n

the aftermath of billions of steps on a trodden trail.<\/p>\n

I look up through the turmoil and treason,<\/p>\n

and see the sun, dying brilliantly before eternity,<\/p>\n

held in a heart’s center,<\/p>\n

divine cell of my own making.<\/p>\n
