{"id":65501,"date":"2020-06-27T13:29:12","date_gmt":"2020-06-27T17:29:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=65501"},"modified":"2020-06-29T13:19:49","modified_gmt":"2020-06-29T17:19:49","slug":"its-been-a-year-epistolary-poem-hr-5","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2020\/06\/its-been-a-year-epistolary-poem-hr-5\/","title":{"rendered":"It\u2019s Been A Year -Epistolary Poem (HR 5)"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Hey my beautiful Queen!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Life hasn\u2019t really been quite the same since you the day God called you home<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">I truly hope on your travels to the pearly gates you saw the beauty of the Universe<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Were the stars as bright as I imaged?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Did your soul sail among the galaxies?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Did you run and jump into the arms of our Heavenly Father?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Were you reunited with your Earth father and mother?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Was Daddy waiting there to tell you that he loves you?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">I know it was a beautiful family reunion with your sisters and brothers!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">We are missing you down here while living in this crazy world<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">We\u2019re going through a pandemic, racism, everything is in an uproar<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">But I\u2019m thankful that you are at peace<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">And that you don\u2019t have any real concerns<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Thank you for always loving wholeheartedly<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">For making sacrifices, for always being selfless<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">You made me into the woman I am today<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">And for that I will forever be grateful<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Your grandson is doing fine<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">He misses you more and more each day<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">You will always be his best friend<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Please keep watching over him<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Although it\u2019s been hard adjusting to you not being here<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">And I\u2019ve cried more times than I\u2019ll like to share<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">I remind myself that I will see you again<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">I\u2019ll get to hug you and embrace your face<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">But until that day comes, I\u2019ll keep my head held high<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Even when I think of you and cry, I\u2019ll remember you telling me everything will be alright<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">I will always love you mommy<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">And I know you will always love me<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Rest in Paradise<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Love,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Your daughter Ashley<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hey my beautiful Queen!
