{"id":65852,"date":"2020-06-27T14:53:22","date_gmt":"2020-06-27T18:53:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=65852"},"modified":"2020-07-23T22:33:46","modified_gmt":"2020-07-24T02:33:46","slug":"the-grace-to-blossom","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2020\/06\/the-grace-to-blossom\/","title":{"rendered":"The Grace To Blossom, 2nd Hour"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>2nd Hour<\/h2>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center\">The Grace To Blossom<\/h2>\n<p>He gave me another chance,<\/p>\n<p>by grace, to blossom;<\/p>\n<p>to breathe again.<\/p>\n<p>knowing I would fall,<\/p>\n<p>he held the seeds of my new birth,<\/p>\n<p>and set them in a dry place.<\/p>\n<p>I withered and died.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Far from Him, I tried to seek my own life,<\/p>\n<p>wallowing in regrets and strife,<\/p>\n<p>he waited until my eyes<\/p>\n<p>grew blurry and dim unable to survive,<\/p>\n<p>without Him.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Finding no pleasure in this foolish escape,<\/p>\n<p>I was lost and<\/p>\n<p>could not rescue\u00a0 my soul,<\/p>\n<p>I had lost control<\/p>\n<p>getting lost in unfamiliar rhythms &#8211; sporadic beats,<\/p>\n<p>discord and unsung melodies,<\/p>\n<p>that altered my path.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I was blinded by a world I did not recognize,<\/p>\n<p>yet not caring if I lived or died&#8230;falling&#8230;lying in<\/p>\n<p>my vanity.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Unguided choices threw me into a<\/p>\n<p>cistern of drowning consequences,<\/p>\n<p>recompense for rebellion and doubt.<\/p>\n<p>Yet His love guided me and lifted me out,<\/p>\n<p>righted my fall when on His name I called<\/p>\n<p>and praised Him for His mercy.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I found favor as He rescued me from dried places,<\/p>\n<p>in this seed were no traces<\/p>\n<p>of life to stand.<\/p>\n<p>Yet, by His command,<\/p>\n<p>he planted me by refreshing waters,<\/p>\n<p>Restored, He gave me another chance to blossom,<\/p>\n<p>to breathe again.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2nd Hour The Grace To Blossom He gave me another chance, by grace, to blossom; to breathe again. knowing I would fall, he held the seeds of my new birth, and set them in a dry place.
