\nNose crinkles with fury

\nSticky paws, wet fur, plaintive meows
\ngone unnoticed for how long?<\/p>\n
The vet’s not far,
\nAnd she’s been sick before.
\nStill, she might not come home.<\/p>\n
Very old for a cat.
\nAlmost old enough to vote.

She’s had a good life.
\nFive cat sisters, older and younger.
\nA safe house, a happy home.<\/p>\n
She used to be so fat

\nStill, no cold exam table, no needle.
