Dinner Day: Prelude to the Guests<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Gladly, the pie has set<\/p>\n
and the soups are sleeping<\/p>\n
and the exotic spices<\/p>\n
are temporarily sleeping<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
first the canapes<\/p>\n
in their moody forethought<\/p>\n
Then the tagine<\/p>\n
a wonderful display, I thought<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
sizzling crackling<\/p>\n
and red-hot cast iron pans<\/p>\n
a nose-happy bouquet<\/p>\n
the odour, the room it pans<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The goulash slowly simmers<\/p>\n
and so too does my excite<\/p>\n
all these delicacies in a row<\/p>\n
giggling in their anticipation to excite<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
the salads are the final<\/p>\n
for the essentially of freshness<\/p>\n
textures of sponge and crunch<\/p>\n
As I prepare for my own garlicky freshness<\/p>\n
