Best Day<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The crux of it all, head in hands, slouched over<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

in a ball.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Breath came in blasts.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The shape of a slam wild card winner.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Before the stage was spot lighted,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

the audience decked out in front,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

my arms and hands full of sign language, sweeping and turning out<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

they had no idea of the difficult day to day.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Still ill on chalky tablets,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

that tasted like bitter dough,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

thicken in the throat.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Best Days<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

happen in between the gears of other times<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

makes them more honey drool sweet<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

like a lubricate that keeps the whole thing clicking over,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Bad Days are dry, rasping, <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

the crux, head in hands, slouched over<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

balled up like a fist<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

but not bitter, about the surrounding age<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

it would be nearly a year, thumbing through the months,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

before I was well again<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

but the experience of performing in that large marquee in an autumn<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

is somewhere my heart returned to<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

whenever days got sharp needle point sore.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Instead the taste<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A sweet <\/span>centre<\/span>, a confection, smooth, and delectable<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

sometimes the things that defy importance<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
