Fleisher<\/p>\n<p>Hour 6<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Prompt 6:\u00a0 My Own. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Alarm (Clock)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Clearly, the inventors of alarm clocks<\/p>\n<p>and digital phone alarms<\/p>\n<p>to start the day<\/p>\n<p>had a skewed (or totally screwed up) psyche.<\/p>\n<p>How else would they have devised such torture?<\/p>\n<p>On a daily basis, no less!<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019re in deep REM sleep,<\/p>\n<p>maybe in some lovely dream space,<\/p>\n<p>and suddenly there\u2019s this loud, discordant noise<\/p>\n<p>jolting you awake,<\/p>\n<p>dragging you from the dream!<\/p>\n<p>Heart thumping, you look wildly around,<\/p>\n<p>until gradually the blood gets back to your brain<\/p>\n<p>and you realize what it is.<\/p>\n<p>Reaching for your phone,<\/p>\n<p>you smack the blinking X to make it stop.<\/p>\n<p>Ahhhh. Blessed silence returns.<\/p>\n<p>You snuggle back down in your blankets, hopeful\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2026but, really, do you have any prayer of returning<\/p>\n<p>to that magical, mystical dream space?<\/p>\n<p>Nope. It\u2019s Gone Forever.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks a lot, stupid alarm!!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Beth A.
