The Sun collapses in on itself<\/p>\n

Consumes and fuses<\/p>\n

That light might cast<\/p>\n

On the hard edges of diamonds<\/p>\n

compressed in the earth’s breast<\/p>\n

Taken from the ground<\/p>\n

By hands shiny with scars<\/p>\n

Earned in the life’s labors<\/p>\n

That too carry babies<\/p>\n

Into the world shining with<\/p>\n

The mother’s triumph<\/p>\n

That they\u00a0 might<\/p>\n

Peer into the age worn<\/p>\n

Light of Grandparent’s eyes<\/p>\n

No shine is earned without effort<\/p>\n

The world tumbles us all smooth<\/p>\n

Compression and fusion<\/p>\n

That we might be<\/p>\n
