I take a deep breath<\/p>\n

and plunge<\/p>\n

Now I’m in deep with you<\/p>\n

We swim around<\/p>\n

Blissfully taking each other in<\/p>\n

I notice your skin<\/p>\n

Wrinkly and pale<\/p>\n

I look at you<\/p>\n

Asking with my eyes<\/p>\n

“How long can we survive like this?”<\/p>\n

You look away<\/p>\n

And I know we can’t<\/p>\n

You open your mouth<\/p>\n

I want to scream at you ‘no!’<\/p>\n

I swim towards the surface<\/p>\n

My lungs screaming for air<\/p>\n

But you hold my feet<\/p>\n

Pulling me down<\/p>\n

I try to kick<\/p>\n

It’s no use<\/p>\n

Your grip is too strong<\/p>\n

I look into your eyes again<\/p>\n

You don’t want to be in this alone<\/p>\n

So I stop<\/p>\n

I open my mouth too<\/p>\n

You hold my hand<\/p>\n

Pull me close<\/p>\n

I close my eyes<\/p>\n

Slowly we begin to sink<\/p>\n

I realize it then<\/p>\n

We’re drowning<\/p>\n
