and that\u2019s OK by you<\/span><\/p>\n

the sheep tread up the corporate ladder one by one<\/span><\/p>\n

mothers making daughters, fathers making sons<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

a million obligations<\/span><\/p>\n

creep up the shores to drown you with a shrug<\/span><\/p>\n

a pregnant pause before every agreement<\/span><\/p>\n

you might resent them for asking<\/span><\/p>\n

but you hate yourself for saying Yes<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

so you drink up today\u2019s obligations<\/span><\/p>\n

a sheep stepping steeply to success<\/span><\/p>\n

with endless voids inside,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

hungry chasms gnashing madly<\/span><\/p>\n

they whisper within you and they multiply<\/span><\/p>\n

you scoff and look around the supermarket<\/span><\/p>\n
