Our Bandit, my baby
\nMy old baby
\nMuzzle gray
\nEye milky
\nFatty tumors on his tummy
\nOften sore, he doesn’t like to be touched
\nOn his belly
\nEars
\nFeet
\nHe sleeps under blankets – always has
\nHe sleeps with us – always has<\/p>\n
He sleeps more and more
\nHe growls and bares his teeth when John works on his eye
\nHe snaps<\/p>\n
Fifteen come October
\nHe’s slowing down and full of life
\nStill stupid around cats
\nTries to hump any dog from any angle
\n(Don’t worry bitches, he’s fixed)<\/p>\n
Terrified of thunderstorms
\nHe shows signs of PTSD during fireworks
\nAs a puppy, he was “rescued” and bounced from family to family until he settled with us<\/p>\n
Bandit loves long walks in the park
\nCatching squirrels with John
\nCar rides,
\nBike rides
\nI hope he still likes bike rides
\nHe tumbled out of the basket the last time we rode.
\nHe doesn’t like his feet wet.<\/p>\n
Bandit pees in the corner
\nWe have an agreement
\nWe take a walk if he doesn’t pee in the house
\nHe shook on it
\nHe’s peed in the corner one time since and was chagrined<\/p>\n
Bandit thinks it’s polite to drink from the puddle before gingerly walking through it.<\/p>\n
He defends us from the murderous postman daily
\nHe protects me from John or anyone else that comes too close to my chair without petting him first<\/p>\n
Bandit is always concerned about our diet
\nSniffing and inspecting our mouths and food to make sure<\/p>\n
He knows when I’m sick or hungover and stays by my side<\/p>\n
He’s a wonder dog.<\/p>\n
He has his own theme song<\/p>\n
