They will not be truly interesting until their 20’s,<\/p>\n
and maybe not even then<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
When they do dumb shit to impress you,<\/p>\n
rolling your eyes only makes it worse.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The less interested you are, the harder they try.<\/p>\n
(Be wary of your best friend’s crush.)<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
They always want to go “all the way”<\/p>\n
even if they have no clue how to get there.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Being “one of the guys” does not make you a guy,<\/p>\n
and they never forget that.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
II. Dating<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Your first boyfriend should not be the guy who cheated on his girlfriend with you,<\/p>\n
even if you were together for two years.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Flowers on your homeroom desk, notes in your locker, and holding hands in hallways<\/p>\n
should always be appreciated.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
If you’re always driving him around, get gas money.<\/p>\n
Nobody rides for free.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
If he doesn\u2019t call you his girlfriend in front of his friends,<\/p>\n
you’re not.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Cut cheaters loose.<\/p>\n
You already knew this could happen.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
III. Sex<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
You’re going to give it up sometime so be smart and use condoms.<\/p>\n
It doesn’t matter that you make it to almost 40 without getting\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0pregnant. Things work better when you’re younger.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
You do not have to be in love to have sex.<\/p>\n
You don’t even really have to like him, but it helps.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
It’s fun and sweet, and if it’s not,<\/p>\n
you’re doing it with the wrong person.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Get to know your body.<\/p>\n
You won’t know what you like until you try it.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Sex isn’t a tool, a bribe or a reward.<\/p>\n
You’ll be ashamed of that later.<\/p>\n

IV. Men<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
They still do dumb shit to impress you,<\/p>\n
but now sometimes it works.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Always wear a bra, especially in air conditioning.<\/p>\n
Your eyes are up here.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
If he’s more than ten years older than you,<\/p>\n
why is he into a teenager?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
They have feelings too.<\/p>\n
I know\u2026I was also surprised by this one.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
They still always want to go “all the way” only<\/p>\n
now they ask for directions.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n

V. Love<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
It isn’t a tool, a bribe, or a reward.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Fall into it as often as you can.<\/p>\n
You can get back up.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
It’s never the same twice,<\/p>\n
that doesn’t mean it isn’t as good.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Never regret it. You may change someone’s life forever.<\/p>\n
