{"id":68826,"date":"2020-06-27T17:30:36","date_gmt":"2020-06-27T21:30:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=68826"},"modified":"2020-06-28T12:39:16","modified_gmt":"2020-06-28T16:39:16","slug":"hour-9-21","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2020\/06\/hour-9-21\/","title":{"rendered":"Hour 9"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today&#8217;s trek to the mall<br \/>\nfull of masks and unmasks<br \/>\nmostly staying six feet apart<br \/>\neyes are tired<br \/>\ntrying not to be obvious.<\/p>\n<p>My voice was obviously tired<br \/>\nannoyed<br \/>\nexhausted<br \/>\nand yet the cat calls still happened<br \/>\nonly today we weren&#8217;t asked to smile<br \/>\nwe were offensively political<br \/>\nasking the cashier where the ear-savers<br \/>\nwere located.<\/p>\n<p>She wanted to go home.<br \/>\nShe did not want to work today.<br \/>\nI feel the same way most days<br \/>\nwhere the office is so quiet<br \/>\nand there are no other voices<br \/>\nto hear.<\/p>\n<p>So we are done at the mall<br \/>\nafter walking one lap and sipping<br \/>\na light smoothie through straws<br \/>\ntoo thick<br \/>\nfor ice, fruit, and honey water.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today&#8217;s trek to the mall full of masks and unmasks mostly staying six feet apart eyes are tired trying not to be obvious.
