Good morning<\/p>\n
To be honest<\/p>\n
My head is underwater<\/p>\n
It always is when I write<\/p>\n
Like I am swimming<\/p>\n
Drowning in thoughts<\/p>\n
Using the breast stroke<\/p>\n
To maneuver through<\/p>\n
Massive amounts of momentum<\/p>\n
Not my treasure island<\/p>\n
More like soft moonlight<\/p>\n
After hours<\/p>\n
A night of drinking<\/p>\n
Hung over with ideas<\/p>\n
Blurbs in my brain matter<\/p>\n
The inevitable crash or vomiting<\/p>\n
At party’s end<\/p>\n
Sometimes I would love<\/p>\n
To see a word<\/p>\n
Make it my friend<\/p>\n
Let it go<\/p>\n
But instead it envelopes me<\/p>\n
A sea drowning me<\/p>\n
Water encasing me<\/p>\n
Filling my lungs<\/p>\n
Like a disgruntled lover<\/p>\n
Taking over my soul<\/p>\n
To be honest<\/p>\n
Cheerful mornings<\/p>\n
Not my thing<\/p>\n
Night\u00a0is more me<\/p>\n
Hell not even\u00a0soft moonlight<\/p>\n
I am like a cloud filled night sky<\/p>\n
Exploding in stars<\/p>\n
Just out of reach<\/p>\n
Foggy and barely visible.<\/p>\n
I hold my head, my eyes water<\/p>\n
Still drunk<\/p>\n
But not remembering how to be sober<\/p>\n
Knowing these words<\/p>\n
Are just a one night stand<\/p>\n
Tricking me into believing<\/p>\n
