At a warehouse party moving dancing laughing
\nShoved and pushed to the floor
\nStench of death hit before the ferocious gnawing<\/p>\n
Tried flailing
\ncouldn’t move couldn’t grab couldn’t claw – all numb
\nhands stopped working<\/p>\n
Tried screaming
\ncouldn’t speak couldn’t talk couldn’t yell – only gurgle
\nNeck was broken<\/p>\n
Tried to find an exit
\ncouldn’t see couldn’t look couldn’t hear – only smell
\nEyes and ears were missing<\/p>\n
And then it hit me again
\nThe smell
\nthis time sweet
\ninviting consuming divine energy<\/p>\n
Writhing on the floor next to me – someone familiar
\nsoft and supple
\nplentiful and easy to swallow
\nlike a wet vein filled marshmallow – delicious
\nelixir for the dead<\/p>\n
Slowly I moved
\nmoaning dragging lumbering
\ninto the night
