{"id":70096,"date":"2020-06-27T19:40:46","date_gmt":"2020-06-27T23:40:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=70096"},"modified":"2020-06-27T19:40:46","modified_gmt":"2020-06-27T23:40:46","slug":"it-waits-for-me-11th-hour-prompt-kjkidder","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2020\/06\/it-waits-for-me-11th-hour-prompt-kjkidder\/","title":{"rendered":"It Waits For Me &#8211; 11th hour prompt &#8211; kjkidder"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Somewhere on a mountaintop in a Holy Land<\/p>\n<p>There is a spot that waits for me to stand<\/p>\n<p>Wrapped in grace, white robes, barefoot in the sand<\/p>\n<p>The air is sweet-tasting and pure and soft on my skin<\/p>\n<p>Yes, soft like a kiss.<\/p>\n<p>It is a place where we cannot see the color of skin<\/p>\n<p>It is translucent and flawless, fluid and yet solid<\/p>\n<p>I could hold you if you were there<\/p>\n<p>and you would feel only love,<\/p>\n<p>my love<\/p>\n<p>And while I&#8217;d love to hold you there,<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s only about His love that I ultimately care.<\/p>\n<p>There are those who&#8217;ve loved Him here and said<\/p>\n<p>They wanted to drink His cup and go with Him, ultimately some did.<\/p>\n<p>Brave and dearly beloved, they followed Him faithfully.<\/p>\n<p>No matter how I might, it is only by His grace for me.<\/p>\n<p>I see them in the distance, highly favored<\/p>\n<p>now, with the many crowns they lay at His feet.<\/p>\n<p>So many crowns, the jewels light up the day<\/p>\n<p>There is no night, no one is tired, no one is too hot<\/p>\n<p>Or too cold. There are none who are sick or weak<\/p>\n<p>Strength and joy are everywhere.
