It&#8217;s clever, get it?)<\/p>\n<p>I often wonder,<\/p>\n<p>(get it now?)<\/p>\n<p>more now than when things were comfortable<br \/>\nIf I went to get groceries, but instead of going back<br \/>\nto an apartment, in a city that feels cramped despite its<br \/>\nego<br \/>\nWhat if I filled up at the gas station. Then took the nearest freeway<br \/>\nprobably the 101, drove until I had to pick whether or not to turn around and go back<br \/>\nto the apartment in the biggest small town you\u2019ve ever lived in<\/p>\n<p>Instead drove through the desert. A place I\u2019m reluctant to call home, but still feels so familiar. The heat probably.<br \/>\nWhat if I found out what was on the other side of that swath of sand and warm colors that remind me of the boat, named after the woman and home to old memories. What if I found something that will make me turn around<br \/>\nor<\/p>\n<p>I wonder where the trees start. I find myself missing trees.<br \/>\nI wonder how long it would take to hit the other coast.<br \/>\nRemember, if the water is on your left, you\u2019re going south.<br \/>\nI wonder what it\u2019d be like to spin off my axis<br \/>\nconcluding that, since I have made it this far,<br \/>\nI should probably just keep going.<br \/>\nI wonder if I sold my car, would it make me enough for *ahem*<br \/>\na<br \/>\n\u201ccasual-one-way-fucking-off\u201d<br \/>\nI wonder if I\u2019d be missed<br \/>\nby the trees. Or would they grow out of spite, and envy me<br \/>\nfor stealing their idea in the first place.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>(don&#8217;t worry, I know the word.
