{"id":70496,"date":"2020-06-27T19:40:39","date_gmt":"2020-06-27T23:40:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=70496"},"modified":"2020-06-27T19:40:39","modified_gmt":"2020-06-27T23:40:39","slug":"delirious","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2020\/06\/delirious\/","title":{"rendered":"Delirious"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As my <em>Zoom<\/em> meeting rambled into its ninth hour,<\/p>\n<p><em>lethargy<\/em> zapped me of any remaining power.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Sitting on my deck didn\u2019t help the matter,<\/p>\n<p>as the sun\u2019s<em> heat<\/em> beat down like John Henry\u2019s hammer.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The <em>strange<\/em> stench of my own clothes<\/p>\n<p>wandered up and grabbed my nose.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I had just the thing to <em>mask<\/em> the smell,<\/p>\n<p>and I applied a <em>bottle <\/em>of <em>Firefly<\/em> Chanel.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Before the meeting reached hour number ten,<\/p>\n<p>I saw a grizzly bear wander out of the glen.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He mumbled something about a girl eating his <em>porridge <\/em><\/p>\n<p>then asked, \u201cWho owns this <em>cottage<\/em>?
