One day, home alone
\nto the basement door
\nI slowly crept, checking

Coast is clear
\nUp on that chair
\nunlocked the lock
\nthat was just out of

It’s so dark down there
\nnot a light to be found
\nin the darkness I think
\nI drowned<\/p>\n
It’s so big-
\nI can’t understand why
\nis it another floor of the house

Is that laughter I hear?

There’s a lit door
\non the other wall
\nit doesn’t look scary

\ndon’t seem like I should run away
\nThey even seem friendly
\nand misunderstood<\/p>\n
They were wrong
