With apologies to Jonathan Coulton.<\/em><\/p>\n

This was a triumph (of experience over optimism)<\/em>
\nI’m making a note here, (because my memory is awful)<\/em>
\n“Huge Success!” (came from being realistic)<\/em>
\nIt’s hard to overstate my satisfaction<\/p>\n

Aperture Science (has given me many hours of enjoyment)<\/em>
\n(Although I hope we never see anything like it in the real world)<\/em>
\nFor the good of all of us
\nExcept the ones who are… (OK, I’m going to stop you there, GLaDOS)<\/em><\/p>\n

Nothing good can come from following too closely<\/em>
\nIn the footsteps of people like Cave Johnson<\/em>
\nAnd so my filk departs, and my own voice is heard,<\/em>
\nWittering on, without metre or rhyme<\/em>
\nIn a sleep-deprived haze of happiness<\/em>
\nThat comes of setting an attainable goal<\/em><\/p>\n

I shall now stop talking, for there’s sleeping to do
\nThen tomorrow morning, I’ll start reading on through
\nAll the poems posted here, from this and other years
\nBut for now, I’m barely awake.<\/p>\n

P.S. I feel exhausted, but I’m still awake!

My book was Garden<\/em> by Zhou Fang, and the first line of actual text is just the word “Nothing”.
