Creamy Cheddar Soup<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
One might call this typically Canadian<\/p>\n
Mild and quaint in simplicity<\/p>\n
Unlike some of the guests however<\/p>\n
Unduly lacking in simplicity<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
It almost lathers when it\u2019s stirred<\/p>\n
This orange pond of gold<\/p>\n
Like a swim in a buttery lake<\/p>\n
Like winning a pot o’ gold<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
It\u2019s rather filling though<\/p>\n
So I tell my guests to know<\/p>\n
That they only need to sample<\/p>\n
Avoiding over-stuffedness well-known<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The humourist prepared a thought<\/p>\n
It could have been served with nachos, he said<\/p>\n
Some nodded, others in suffering face<\/p>\n
Well-spoken, I sportingly said<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
A Vineland Estates Riesling<\/p>\n
Or perhaps a Muskoka Lager<\/p>\n
As long as it\u2019s national<\/p>\n
Like a sparkling spring cold lager<\/p>\n
