When I was a kid, we were lucky to have a record player.
\nVinyl records brought music the people around the world
\nWith tones muffled by the static of a needle gathering lint as the table turned.
\nThe more they were played the more likely the album got scratched.
\nWith the cassette tape came clarity of a recording studio
\nAnd a more compact player,
\nGone was the day of larger record players
\nAnd problems of lint.
\nBut just when we thought our music was as good as it could be,
\nOur cassette tapes got stuck in players,
\nBreaking in the listener\u2019s frustration.
\nOut came the Compact Disc,
\nBut now the listener wanted more
\nAnd compact discs could not be easily played on the go.<\/p>\n
Is that when we got MP3s dad?
