{"id":7356,"date":"2015-06-13T11:22:30","date_gmt":"2015-06-13T15:22:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=7356"},"modified":"2015-06-13T11:22:30","modified_gmt":"2015-06-13T15:22:30","slug":"poem-3-my-first-born","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2015\/06\/poem-3-my-first-born\/","title":{"rendered":"Poem #3: My First Born"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cMom\u2026are you okay?\u201d<br \/>\nI hold my breath for a few second \u2026 I close my eyes and let out a silent sigh.<br \/>\nI cannot see his eyes but I can strongly hear his agitation.<br \/>\nA child in a body of teenager but trying hard to be a man.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes I am fine \u2026 I\u2019m okay \u2026 nothing to worry.\u201d<br \/>\nMy voice lighten up a little but it can\u2019t be wrong, he fell it strong.<\/p>\n<p>He knows .. yes .. \u00a0we know that deep in our hearts\u2026We know!<br \/>\nWe are moving mountains with our Faith and Love with each other.<br \/>\nWe know that our problems are also mounting \u2026<br \/>\nWe know that in our silence \u2026 we cannot lie and we won\u2019t lie;<\/p>\n<p>Though we speak thousand words of assurance ..\u201c.we are doing fine.\u201d<br \/>\nBut deep in our heart \u2026 its deepest silence lies \u2026.<br \/>\nFear \u2026 uncertainty \u2026 longing \u2026 false hope and life\u2019s negative thoughts.<br \/>\nAnd \u2026 .doubts \u2026 lot of doubts.<\/p>\n<p>He look into my eyes and smile \u2026<br \/>\nNo one will take this moment from me, not even distance.<br \/>\nThe eyes that still holds hundreds of questions.<br \/>\nThe shy boy become a child again though he tries hard to conceal.<br \/>\nThe swag and confidence of being love \u2026 was and still is.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you and take care Mom.\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cI love you son.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I can still hears his voice .. \u201cMom you go first.\u201d<br \/>\nAs I click to end our conversation \u2026 I whisper softly.<br \/>\n\u201cYes Mom is fine\u2026I need to be fine.\u201d<br \/>\nMy first born .. my first pure love \u2026 and more first to come.<br \/>\nIs counting to his strong and loving mom.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cMom\u2026are you okay?\u201d I hold my breath for a few second \u2026 I close my eyes and let out a silent sigh.
