A narrative poem is a poem that tells a story, but the story does not have to be compete, nor does it have to be told in a linear way.<\/p>\n<p>_______________________________________________________________<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>{Road Trip} Conjoined Haikus<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We traced her thick skin<br \/>\nSkimming a flat miraged plain<br \/>\nTrees tantalising<\/p>\n<p>As our eyes squinted<br \/>\nA shimmering horizon<br \/>\nTaunted and deceived<\/p>\n<p>The vast nothingness<br \/>\nWas strewn with wheat and lucerne<br \/>\nGrass parrots rejoiced<\/p>\n<p>Above the skyline<br \/>\nFoliage danced and cavorted<br \/>\nHanging in mid-air<\/p>\n<p>Birds with not a care<br \/>\nFighting over fresh roadkill<br \/>\nBitumen graveyard<\/p>\n<p>Occasional rise<br \/>\nTerrain and conversation<br \/>\nPunctuates silence<\/p>\n<p>Wheat wheat forever<br \/>\nFarmers and eagles harvest<br \/>\nGrain.
