\nAnd, maybe, it\u2019s imagined, construed
\nBut it\u2019s something to have a thought jump to mind
\nAnd it isn\u2019t, by far, the only time.<\/p>\n
I feel easily, it\u2019s true;
\nAnd I\u2019ve been hurt so recently
\nThat maybe I\u2019m latching on
\nBecause you\u2019re gentle, kind to me?<\/p>\n
Dare I tame it, call it \u2018friendship,\u2019 first?
\nWithdraw my attraction; place it in chains?
\nI might drive emotions from bad to worse
\nIf I do or I don\u2019t grab hold of those reigns….<\/p>\n
In truth, I love spending time with you,
\nIf this is who you truly are;
\nI love the work, the story,
\nAnd am intrigued by the one whom I imagine.<\/p>\n
I resonate with the words that spill forth
\nFrom wherever in the world you are;
\nIt takes a rare and empathic person
\nTo formulate such thoughts.<\/p>\n
I thrill that you\u2019re an artist, finely-honed
\nAnd magical in your ways –<\/p>\n
I’m grateful that you\u2019re now so often there;
\nThat I’m not alone in this.
\nAnd I know it\u2019s likely only this COVID isolation
\nThat has allowed for time, like this.<\/p>\n

\nAnd honestly? I’m still unsure whether to believe or not

\nUnless you\u2019ve picked up on this fact in the last day or few –
\nBut, it\u2019s easy to feel for someone who is real
\nAnd so easy for me to accept whatever I may feel:<\/p>\n
